Job Purpose
The Analytics Specialist in MBZUAI is responsible for utilizing measurement tools to
configure, manage, analyze, report, and optimize digital experiences for clients. This role involves implementing
analytics, testing, customization, SEO, and targeting strategies to enhance digital marketing efforts. Additionally,
the Analytics Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data- driven insights and
recommendations, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to the overall success of digital marketing campaigns
and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with digital marketing and content teams to establish measurement targets, KPIs, reporting
techniques, and optimization strategies.
- Utilize various analytics technologies such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Data Studio to
gather and analyze data effectively.
- Develop measurement plans, implement tracking codes, and ensure proper implementation across multiple clients
and projects.
- Maintain knowledge base on analytics systems and provide internal training to staff.
- Participate in relevant meetings like pitch meetings and content discussions.
- Determine optimal strategies in collaboration with digital strategists, incorporating personalization activities
and other relevant elements like profiling schemes, content scoring schemes, metadata, campaign definitions,
conversion definitions, customer touch points, and other related items.
- Test and monitor the deployment of digital features, such as multi-channel implementations, segment-based
analytics, and the simulation of user states.
- Conduct regular audits of analytics implementations to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital analytics and measurement.
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve data collection processes and reporting capabilities.
- Generate analytical reports and provide leadership with insights into success metrics.
- Carry out all other duties as reasonably directed by the Line Manager, to support the department and MBZUAI’s
objectives.
Academic
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional
Experience
- Proficiency in Content Management Systems like WordPress or Webflow.
- Strong knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Data Studio.
- Experience in A/B and multivariate test planning, execution, and analysis.
- Familiarity with SEO tools like Moz Pro or Screaming Frog for content and technical SEO assessment.
- Ability to effectively present data insights to diverse audiences.
- Experience in delivering analytics and optimization materials such as measurement plans, test plans, and
analytics reports.
- Practical knowledge of HTML and web publishing technologies.
- Understanding of interface standards, AJAX, JavaScript, search, and responsive design.
- Understanding of information architecture or web content management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
