This three-month program connects students with alumni who have successfully transitioned into the workforce, offering valuable guidance and fostering alumni engagement.
3-month pilot program
Graduating Ph.D. and master’s students (2025 cohort)
Bridge the gap between academic studies and professional life, enhance career prospects, and strengthen alumni engagement.
• Offer guidance on academic progress, career planning, and professional development.
• Provide insight into industry trends and networking opportunities.
• Commit to regular communication (at least one meeting per month).
• Share personal experiences and lessons learned to serve as role models.
• Actively engage in meetings and discussions.
• Set clear goals for the mentorship relationship.
• Be receptive to feedback and constructive advice.
• Maintain professionalism and respect the mentor's time.
Mentoring sessions can be in-person or virtual, with flexible scheduling (email, video calls, etc.), requiring at least one meeting per month.
• Three-Month Duration: This is a pilot program with a duration of three months.
• Feedback: At the end of the program, both mentors and mentees will complete a brief feedback form to evaluate the effectiveness of the relationship.
Both mentors and mentees must maintain confidentiality regarding personal and professional discussions.
• Mentees are encouraged to take the lead in scheduling meetings and driving the agenda.
• Mentors should provide guidance but not be expected to provide job placements or internships.
• Both parties are expected to maintain a respectful and professional relationship throughout the program.
• Both mentors and mentees will participate in periodic check-ins to ensure the program is meeting expectations.
• A final survey will be conducted to gather feedback on the mentoring relationship and overall program experience.
• Alumni Relations will provide ongoing support throughout the program.
• Any issues or concerns can be raised with the program coordinator for assistance.
